
Garrett received his B.Sc. in Biology with a minor in Entomology and his M.Sc. in Entomology from Purdue University, followed by a Ph.D. in Entomology from Penn State University. His doctoral research focused on the annual bluegrass weevil, examining the role of bacterial communities in insecticide resistance. In the López-Uribe Lab, he is contributing to the metabarcoding of pollen collected from honey bee corbiculae to better understand plant-pollinator networks in Pennsylvania and New York.
