The objective of this booklet is to summarize the knowledge about the bees of the Chicaque Natural Park, which is located in the Eastern Cordillera near Bogotá (74º 18’O 4º 47’N) and comprises more than 300 hectares of forest Altoandino that goes from 1,900 to 2,500 meters above sea level. It is estimated that about half of bee species in Colombia have not been described. Therefore, the information included in this compendium also has scientific and social value for increasing the knowledge of bees in the Andean region and Colombia.
