
Zoe is a visiting student from the University of Southampton in the UK, where she is completing her PhD looking at the impact of land-use change on the occupancy and distribution of bees in the tropical montane forests of Malaysia. As a tropical bee ecologist, Zoe has also worked in Belize for her masters project looking at the impacts of the invasive honeybees on the native bee community. Alongside her studies, Zoe is also has some beehives of her own and loves bee photography. At Penn State, Zoe will be working on generating genetic barcodes for Hylaeus species found in Pennsylvania.
